On-page Ads are banner or skyscraper flash ads and occupy specific positions on each Channel page. These ads are .swf or image files (.jpg, .gif etc.) and are displayed on initial opening of the channel page or if no programme associated ads are programmed.
On Page Ads can also be associated any specific programme(s). Direct association with a programme(s) will override any channel page associations and will appear on the page when that programme is selected and playing.
If more than one On Page Ad is entered to play in any position ads will be automatically rotate in sequence.
Pre Roll Ads
Pre-roll Ads play inside the Video Player window as video is loading and buffering on live streaming channels (such as Aljazzera and Bloomberg), a scheduled channel playlist or a view on demand programme.
These ads are .swf files which can have sound and animation, must be no less than 5 seconds in duration and are the same dimensions as the Player Window (640 x 360 pixels)
Pre-roll Ads can be associated with any programme(s). If more than one pre-roll ad is entered to play, they will automatically rotate in sequence.
Video ads are television commercials which can be scheduled in a streaming channel playlist. In-stream ads are not available inside live streaming channels.
Video ads are the same format and bitrates as programmes, i.e .mov H.264 @ 128k, 256k, 384k & 768k.
Video Ads can be associated with any programme(s) so they will automatically play whenever that programme is scheduled or played as View-on-Demand.
If more than one In-stream ad is associated with a programme, they will automatically rotate in sequence. Viewers cannot fast forward or skip past Video ads scheduled in the playlist as they can with programmes.
